NBA: Dallas Mavericks 1 on 1 Recap, Who's to Blame?

By far this has been one of the most strangest and interesting seasons yet. It's been a break out year for NBA General Managers and Head Coaches. From watching, The Dallas Mavericks,  Los Angelos Lakers, and Chicago Bulls just to name a few, it's evident in the lack of understanding of the importance for a General Manager and Head Coach to be in cohesive chemistry. The Dallas Mavericks led by Dirk Nowitzki, sixth man Jason Terry, were fantastic this year considering how their organization took matters into their own hands. The Mavericks Organization put together one of the best group of Maverick Teams we have ever seen this past year. This year starting out the regular season was a bit different, due to  the lost of six crucial players who changed the atmosphere in Dallas as well as on the court. The loss of Caron Butler, J.J. Barea, Deshawn Steveson,Tyson Chandler, Peja Stojakovic and others really shocked NBA fans. President Mark Cuban seems to be a very competetive owner, but not to bright in his choices to let these key players go. Many argue the NBA is really politics but in this case it's the sense of what is known as common sense. Why would you let go of the players on your championship team? There is no possible explanation besides player interest by which would be exceptable in not resigning these key players. This NBA post season was hard to watch if you was a Dallas Maverick fan, because this year, going up against the young transitional Oklahoma City Thunder led by the altimate scoring champ Kevin Durant, got destroyed. The Mavericks where left with no depth in their team and no defensive intensity on defense. The Mavericks looked old and completly one dementional on the offensive and defensive end.
I've always been impressed by Rick Carlisle, and I refuse to blame the Mavericks Coaching staff for the reasons on why their season went as quickly as it did. For I extend a round of applause to the Coaching Staff, because the Mavericks had a playoff birth, with basicly a decent starting line up and no bench. With watching the entire NBA post season, not to many teams are going to advance to the next round or the finals without a consistant bench. The Mavs, have there hands full, and the latest rumor, in Derron Williams playing for them seems to be not the best. I believe the Mavs need to focus really hard on this upcoming draft class because they may be able to steal a couple of key players as well as from the free agency. The Mavs have a good chance of getting Derron Williams, but let's just say Derron Williams seems tired of playing for Organizations who have no franchise changing Big Men, Mavs might not be the best place for Derron.

To the entire Dallas Maverick Organization, looking at your roster this past season, let's just pray you will make the right decisions this time around considering your championship gate window.
